Walnut Quarter or Rift Cut composite wood veneer sheet 24" x 48" with paper backer (2' x 4' x 1/40th" thickness). Composite wood has been dyed and gone through a process to make each sheet clean in appearance and consistent. Natural "defects" or markings are removed from the wood and the grain is straighter than natural veneer. Color will darken some when wet. Quarter or Rift means the grain is straight or narrow as opposed to Flat Cut which is open wide grain (also available in composite and natural wood). Code # 500. About pictures : Most pictures have been temporarily wet on the lower portion of the veneer to show what the grain may look like when finish is added. Color adjustments have been made to show the color as best as is possible. It is impossible to get photos exactly correct in color, but we have made an effort to do so.
