The Ball Hawg allows players and coaches to spend less time shagging balls and spend more time for productive activities. The Ball Hawg is the invention of Mike Compton, a minor league catching co-ordinator, who realized shagging balls took up a great deal of time but is of little or no value for player development. The Ball Hawg is made of durable plastic suitable for heavy use and it is simple to use on the field or in the cage. It easily holds twenty baseball and can be quickly emptied to make shagging a breeze. All a player or coach has to do is set the bottom of the Ball Hawg on top of a baseball to pick it up and when it comes time to dump the balls into a bucket or bag he simply dumps them out from the opposite side.
