To ensure you receive your grains exactly how you want them, please specify your preferences in the notes section on the cart page before checkout. Choose from the following packaging options:
- Packaged all together unmilled
- Packaged all together milled
- Packaged separately unmilled
For milled orders, we use a spike mill with standard gap sizes of .05-.06 for traditional false bottom setups and .03-.04 for Brew in a Bag (BIAB). If you have specific gap setting requests, please include them in your notes.
Note: Orders without pre-checkout notations will be shipped packaged separately and unmilled.
Rahr distillers malt is processed using North American barley. The malt is processed to maximize the enzymatic activity to provide the needed functionality for the distiller. This product is extremely high in diastatic power and alpha amylase along with high levels of FAN for yeast nutrition.
