The Chaumont includes a salt mill filled with salt from Germany. They are made of crystal-clear high quality acrylic that will never yellow or tarnish. The clear bodies allow the user to have a better knowledge of the amount of spice remaining in the mill. They will fit any kitchen decor and are easy to care for. Just wipe the exterior of the mill with a soft cloth to clean. Water is not recommended. The grind is adjusted by turning the knob clockwise for finer grind and counterclockwise for coarser grind.
