- ๐ฉ Offset the tailstock by 1 to 1.5 degrees for proper alignment during broaching.
- ๐ฒ Pre-drill holes larger than the broach size: 10% larger for square broaches and 3% larger for hex broaches.
- ๐ Alternatively, if pre-drilling a larger hole is not possible, pre-drill the hole to match the exact size of the broach and add a 45-degree lead-in chamfer. This will guide the broach smoothly into the workpiece and ensure effective broaching.
