The FatCage MB901SPR-B is a dual bay RAID enclosure that supports a 2x2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drive or SSD in a 2x5.25" bay of your computer/workstation system. With the built-in RAID 1 chipset and easy-to-read RAID status LED indicators, you can easily mirror 2.5" drives for data redundancy without adding RAID card or RAID monitoring software to the host. In addition, the CPU is normally required to calculate a RAID, but it is also possible to have a RAID chipset on the case, which allows the CPU to be released and accelerated the whole system. Therefore, the MB901SPR-B is a removable drive enclosure perfect for critical computer systems that not only make your system run faster, but also provide protection against your critical data. With the built-in JMS562 hardware RAID chipset, you can effortlessly add two hard drives / SSD RAID array to any system without the need for a RAID controller board. FatCage MB901SPR-B automatically mirrors 2 x 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATA hard drives for data redundancy to avoid system downtime caused by a single drive failure. The FatCage RAID MB901SPR-B is equipped with easy-to-read RAID status LED indicators for monitoring the status of RAID during operation so that users can quickly enter live RAID status without having to install RAID monitoring software. However, if your application requires the use of RAID monitoring software, it is available for downloading and installing on Windows/Mac computers.
