Interlock Kit Installation Steps 1.With the power off. place the bottom plate the one with 3 holes over the top left breaker and mark the location with a pen in the bottom plateholes. 2.Remove the panel cover from the circuit breaker panel and dril the three holes marked on the panel cover using the 3/16" drll bit provided. 3.Insert the screws from the back of the cover plate, install the botom plate and top plate to the front cover plate of the circuit breaker panel. fix withnuts, make sure there is enough space for the top plate to pull freely. 4.Combine the zip ties into a loop and install the zip ties around the top circuit breaker in the pane 5. Place warning labels in appropriate locations. 6.As shown, the main breaker is open and the generator breaker is closed and cannot be opened. The interlock is properly installed. 1.The interlok kit reouires manual operation and prevents both utiity and generator power from being turned on at the same time by sliding theinterlock plate left and right. 2.In the event of a utlity power outage, the main breaker and all other breakers must be turned off the interlock kit adjusted to the generator breakerand the generator connection circuit working properly. 3.Interlock kits allow vou to delver power from the generator to any circuit within the electrical panel. You can know which circuit breakers to close oi keep on during a power outaqe. 4.This eliminates unsafe generator feedback conditions and prevents damage to electrical equipment during a power outage.
