- Overheat protection: The sewage pump has a built-in thermal overload protection system, which automatically shuts down when the motor overheats to prevent idling or motor damage. This sewage ejector pump can be used in water temperatures ranging from 0-40 degrees Celsius (32°F-104°F). To avoid freezing in cold weather, make sure the pump is completely immersed in water before starting. The handle on the top of the pump can be used to tie a rope when submerging or lifting the pump
